Bass simulator?

Hey guys, I'm trying to record a little tune I put together... the only problem is I have no bass guitar. Does anyone know of any bass simulator plugins/programs that work ok? Maybe something that will fatten up the guitar sound to make it sound bassy. I recall having heard of such a program/plugin, but I can't find it...

Do you mean an octaver Nefilim? That might work well if you want to use your guitar to record it. It probably won't fool anyone into thinking it's a real bass, but it ought to do the trick.

Try looking at Shareware Music Machine for a plug-in one.

Yip, as Eddie's Cellmate says, any kind of pitch shifter will drop the pitch of your guitar without you needing to retune. You can then just use eq to ease off the treble and beef up the bass.
You can actually get some pretty realistic results if you arse about with it for long enough.

Ok, then I might be able to do some basic stuff in cool edit. There's a pitch shifter integrated there, and I'm sure there is one in Sonar as well. Thanks guys!
