It sounds somewhat like this but even clankier with a HUGE bottom end.



Bass was a mid 90s american fender jazz that ended up being played by yours truly because the bass player was awful!

Jay Maas from Defeater seems to use guitar heads for bass sounds a lot. Some friends were just recording with him and they were using a 5150 for bass tones. Pretty cool!

Hey, we actually ran it into recabinet as we tried it through a Marshall 1960 a and b which didn't cut it and I didn't have my bass cab with me.

Ended up using the ampeg 8x10 model with the 421 and the Mesa oversized with a 57 for both amps. I'm getting the stems to start mixing tomorrow so I'll have something up Monday!

Also Adam I did indeed get the idea from jay Maas!

just exported out of the session and slammed for ultra balls low loudness

no processing on the bass as of yet .. just a little levels between the 5150 Blackstar and DI

cant wait for matt to mix the thing ... or the band to finish it
