Good luck Danny. Did you interview Tim Calvert from Forbidden? Makes me want to cry that a guitarist as talented as him is now a freakin airline pilot.

You know what needs to be done is a documentary on the OC's musical legacy. The more I've read up on it the more I realize how much more important OC was vs. LA. Thing is, you would have to include the punks because they made up a large portion of it.

From The Offspring on down, there were a ton of successful punk bands from around here. Then three of the Big Four are OC in origin: Metallica (Lars is from Newport Beach, James is from Downey), Slayer (Fountain Valley boys) and Megadeth (Mustaine is from Costa Mesa).

And yeah I hate No Doubt but you can't deny the success.

The OC really is the unsung scene in music.
