Very good article...grew up with these guys back from the omni and private parties. Same with Defiance......I need to look them up and see if it is alive.

it's funny Ms.A,..we probably grew up during the same times..you expereinced the San Fran thrash scene(which I love) and I experienced the NYC scene..with classic places like L'Amours in Brooklyn and The Ritz in NYC....Anthrax,Overkill,Ramones, saw Exodus at The Ritz..when they played their 'new' songs for major label execs.."Seed Of Hate"...great show, was one of Pauls last with the band that time.
Also saw the infamous Studio 54 show..Venom, Slayer.Exodus...KILLER show. that was right before Hell Awaits came out, and Bonded BY Blood just came out... and the Roseland Balloom show..Raven.Metallica, Anthrax all 3 got signed to major labels that night..Anthrax with original singer Turbin.killed. that night!
I was also only 5 years old at these shows...hahahaha! (just kidding)
