Much better, but not anything I still would go out of my way to listen to. I actually like the original and sort of feel it's one of those untouchable songs in my personal opinion...even if this version is vastly different.

I think the best source for a cover song is to introduce your audience to a band or song that they otherwise may not be familiar with.

Hate Metallica all you want, but how many of us honestly were into Diamond Head, Budgie, or Blitzkrieg before Garage Days first came out?
They had the right idea.

Yes, yes and yes! Agree completely. Covers just simply only work if bands add something new to the song. Bands that just play it straight...I just don't understand the point in that. The only time I sort of can is if it's like you said and they're trying to introduce their fans into someone else.
