Impact metal channel conducted an interview with guitarist/vocalist Adam "Nergal" Darski of Polish extreme metallers BEHEMOTH before the band's December 11, 2014 concert in Dublin, Ireland. You can now watch the chat below. A a couple of excerpts follow (transcribed by BLABBERMOUTH.NET). On how he came up with the idea to open a barber shop, Barberian Academy & Barber Shop, in Warsaw: Nergal: "I just talked with a female friend from Poland, and she just told me, 'Hey, how about a barber shop? You should open one. It just goes along with who you are.' And the whole barner culture in Poland, it's pretty much nonexistent. I mean, it's starting now, for, like, two years, but still, there's, like, very few barber shop. Even in Warsaw, we've got, like, three only. So this idea started growing in my head, and I just decided, 'That's awesome.' It feels like a new ground, a new territory for me to explore, so I went for it. It's going well." On when fans can expect to see the English-language edition of his memoir, "Confessions Of A Heretic - The Sacred And The Profane: Behemoth And Beyond" (web site): Nergal: "It should be around the Inferno festival in Norway. If possible, I'll be doing, like, a signing session and maybe a press conference. So early April, I believe. And, yeah, it's out on Jawbone from England, and we're definitely gonna push hard for this one. It's almost done, pretty much. All the graphics are put together, everything is all done. It's gonna [go to] print in a couple of weeks. I'm very excited. A lot of people are asking for [it]." On what made his decide to write his memoir: Nergal: "You know what?! I have this extrovert nature, and for me, it's about sharing. I take a lot… I take so much from the world, what life offers. It's all about give-and-take. If I get inspired by stuff that I see and read and watch, I've got this obligation that I should give it back, you know what I mean?! And I just have a need to write music, words… Different stuff. Even Facebook is a way of expressing, and social media is a way of expressing, and I'm just sharing this energy. There's a need. It's here [taps his chest]." BEHEMOTH's latest album, "The Satanist", sold around 10,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 34 on The Billboard 200 chart. The CD was issued in February 2014.
