<metal flashback>i remember WW from Chicago days, when he did Hatewave. still have my Hatewave vinyl and a tape of them playing live on WNUR. my copy of Immortal's Diabolical FullMoon.. was originally his. it's got his name written in the barcode, and i actually bought it at Dr. Wax on a day he was working. i think he even worked the cash register when i checked out. i also bought Ulver's Bergtatt that day.

then this one time we saw Hatewave perform live at a Knights of Columbus Hall, I believe, where there was no stage- one of those shows where the bands perform on the floor and the line between crowd and band is very blurred. they dressed as zombies, and the guitarist had a fast picking hand.</metal flashback>
