Before i post any judgements, i'd really like to hear it being run into an actual amp. Not just an IR. I can feel the hm2 vibe a bit, but its not nearly as "grindy". But that might be due to the signal chain.

Subjective, but I'd rather have an actual HM-2 than the clips HvO has posted. The clips actually almost sound like a guitar preamp without any cabsim on them or anything. Tell Bloodbath their guitar tone is bad... sounds great for the style to me.

As 'bad' as it sounds, I think it could find its uses

First clip sounds like an HM-3. Second clip was closer in the mids but still not the mighty HM-2 sound.

And here's how a Boss HM-2 MIJ sounds like in the most famous context All knobs at max, running on the lead channel of a tube amp - any will do, just keep the gain low for the sweet spot!
