Hah, that was exactly the first combo that came to mind when I saw the thread title.

For a live example, Kamelot's live set at ProgPower USA several years ago:

"The Might of Rome" from the Gladiator soundtrack (intro) --> the rest of their set.
To this day I think it was the best set-opener at PP ever.
