Best Iron Maiden Song???????

Many agree that Stairway to Heaven captured the total essence of Led Zeppelin.

I am going to say that Rime of the Ancient Mariner perfectly embodies Iron Maiden because it has so many signature styles, various progressions, and intelligent lyrics (as usual) with a great storyline (courtesy of Samuel Coleridge).

For someone interested in hearing what Iron Maiden is like, I would definitely play them Rime of the Ancient Mariner first. As far as there being a best Iron Maiden song, I like them all! :)

My favorite tune is Where Eagles Dare. Maybe because it was the first Maiden song I heard but I love it! The guitar solo! Melts my heart. Come on ladies! Play it!

But there best song might be "The Trooper". A perfect gem. Maybe its overlooked because of its familiarity but think back to the first time you heard it and how strongly it still resonates. "Rime of the Ancient Mariner" is a certainly their best "epic" tune. Got a soft spot for "Strange World" too.

awesome song- one of the first maiden songs I learned to play!

I couldn't even narrow it down to the best album.

From "Killers" through "Power Slave" Track per Track are rock solid. Songwriting wise they were untouchable during that time period. After that it was hit and miss...

Brave New World is pretty strong... there isn't a song that I skip on that one.
