Best Maiden covers ever

The Etheral cover sounds interesting, I would like to hear it.

I think Anthrax's cover of 'Remember Tomorrow' is better than Opeth's, and is one of the best Maiden covers I have heard.
I know not many people here will agree with me, but I think Cradle Of Filth's cover of 'Hallowed Be Thy Name' is quite good. :)

The only Maiden cover I've heard that I really liked was Sebastian Bach doing Children Of The Damned. Most other Maiden covers suck.

But Baz doing Children.... phwoar!!!

(And by that I mean "But Sebastian Bach doing Children of the Damned..." haha, nothing sexual haha!)

Yeah sure Trent, I believe you.;)

The Cradle of Filth cover isn't too bad. I quite like it myself.

They played Dokaka's version of Angel of Death on RRR here in Melbourne tonight. Pretty funny stuff! Actually they're fucking good.

Maiden covers that I can't stand:

Sentenced doing 'The Trooper'
Sonata Arctica doing whatever it was they did off 'Piece of Mind'

(dis)Honourable mention:
Chalice doing 'Alexander the Great'. I nearly pissed myself when they did that.

Some good covers;

Purgatory - Wardog
Evil That Men Do - Conquest
Ides of March/Purgatory - From A Call To Irons
Genghis Khan - Angel Corpse
Hallowed Be Thy Name - Solitude Aeternus
Transylvania - Absu
The Prisoner - FOZZY!!

Troops is right, Sebastian singing Children Of The Damned = Best Maiden cover ever :headbang:
