It's a end of a january and there is no thread. So I made one.

1. Ghost Brigade : IV - One with the storm
2. Sólstafir : Ótta
3. Kuolemanlaakso : Tulijoutsen
4. Jonne : Jonne

This year releases, old songs in new covers.
6. Katatonia : Last Fair Day Gone Night
7. October Falls : Kaarna

About upcoming releases:
This semester of a one third will be great:
Ensiferum, Von Hertzen Brothers, Barren Earth... I also wait for a album from Kalle (Viikate) with Marko Haavisto. I'm not a big fan of a Nigtwish, but I really wait what they have done with Floor Jansen, which I like way more than Olzon.

I'm wondering, if there is coming that collection from Tuomas Saukkonen projects (Black Sun Aeon, Before the Dawn etc.) this year. It has been "out soon" almost a one and a half year. Maybe now, when Wolfheart's debut is re-issued, he have time to that collection.

How's about Your lists?

Not much that hasn't been mentioned yet... ;) My #1 for 2014 is Insomnium - Shadows of the Dying Sun, followed in no particular order by Ghost Brigade - One With The Storm, Kuolemanlaakso - Tulijoutsen, Sólstafir - Ótta, Einherjer - Af oss, for oss, Opeth - Pale Communion, Primordial - Where Greater Men Have Fallen, Tryptikon - Melana Chasmata and Amoral - Fallen Leaves And Dead Sparrows; Kypck might yet end up in the list but I still haven't bought it.

Most anticipated upcoming releases, well, I assume 2015 to be dominated by Enslaved and Barren Earth but expect great things from Paradise Lost as well, and indeed from Nightwish. Further down the year I also hope for new stuff from Swallow The Sun, Moonsorrow and Omnium Gatherum, and let's see what Amorphis are up to...

My personal top 6 metal albums from last year, lots of quality here:

1. Ghost Brigade - IV: One with the Storm (up there with the likes of Skyforger and Above the Weeping World, 10/10)
2. Ne Obliviscaris - Citadel
3. Skein - Of Wings Unfolding (awesome debut album)
4. Insomnium - Shadows of the Dying Sun
5. Sólstafir - Ótta
6. Amoral - Fallen Leaves & Dead Sparrows

Had to remind myself of the massive chunk of albums I'm anticipating this year:

Enslaved - In Times
Pressure Points - False Lights
Barren Earth - On Lonely Towers
Nerve End - The Cycle
Chaos Divine - Colliding Skies
Amorphis
Be'lakor
Leprous (being mixed AFAIK)
Moonsorrow
Oddland
Turbid North
Anthriel

Oh, Moonsorrow, I forgot, hell yeah! Only two weeks to Turku gig, can't wait!
I'm remembering there was some interview where mentioned there will be a new material from Amorphis in year 2015. Of course I'm also waiting for that.
