Which albums recommended do you plan on purchasing? Which recommendation swept you off your jihad lovin magic carpet? Which fell shorter than Lord Red Dragon wearing high heels? What genres of music do you wish there were more recommendations of?

Poll to come.

Klabaumustard because it made me purchase the thing to my fullest satisfaction. Deadboy & the Elephantmen would have been right on its heels but, eh, it's fucking OOP...

By the way my reco is missing in the survey so the whole story is null and void.

We've had 18 recommendations to date, so this poll is flawed by -8 power ups [/krigloch]

I didn't hear all the reco's (I suppose I forgot the younsendit links only last 7 days) and am still going through this week's selection.

That said, KLABAUTAMANN is the clear winner for me thus far. The best part about that album is that it gets better with each listen.

Following that would be Shining and Old Season.

I voted Klabautamann. Haven't heard every single recommendation though. I'm a heavy user of the search function, and the threads aren't going anywhere. So we'll see in time.

Yeah but like I said, the yousendit link stops working after 7 days. A bit like that video in Ringu! Sort of. I mean, the video would still work but you'd be too dead to watch it! :loco:

Ahhh fuck me! :erk:

Well the descriptions can always lead me to other areas on the interweb where I can dled mp3s. So not all is lost.

It wouldn't be fair for me to answer, b/c I honestly haven't gotten 'round to the last 3 reco's, BUT:

- loved Deadboy and I didn't expect to = win
- Television was long overdue, but I still wouldn't listen to it much = 1/2-win
- Stan Rogers just wasn't for me = lose
- Stigmata IV was cool, but I wouldn't seek it out to buy = 1/2-win
- Galloglass was fairly mundane if not played well = 1/2-win
- whatever Ellestin reco'd was AWESOME, can't recall the name though = HUGE WIN (technical but groovy goth/doom/death metal, lack of a better description)
- forgot the name of what Demonspell reco'd (Poema?), but it didn't do it for me = lose
- Iniquity I really, really enjoyed, but I could easily see myself forgetting about them after a few weeks = 1/2-win
- Klaubatamamasnmansndas was right up my choco-tunnel, so uh, yeah = win

Sorry, either can't remember the others, or didn't hear 'em

Demimonde ;)

That was a fairly good description, I'd just add the space-opera concept which confers the whole atmosphere.

I really liked it quite a bit, which was semi-funny after I was one of the first posts to say "Cynic? I'll hate this!"

remember, do NOT describe them as similar to Cynic, ha ha

edit: ellestin, they're the CZE Demimonde, yes? full-length called Mutant Star?
