Metal-Hill/Scott Travis-Priest
Thrash-Ellefson/Menza-Megadeth
Prog Rock-Jackson/Rockenfield-Ryche
Wild Card-Lemmy/Dee-Motorhead(no one, I mean no one, plays like Lemmy. He's not the best, but attitude means a lot. Dee is one of the best drummers out there, I didn't know how he would fit in the band when he first joined.)

I know, I know these aren't very "underground" but it's mainly what I grew up listening to....

Steve Harris/Clive Burr. A lot of people say Nicko is the better drummer, but I think Clive's style meshed better with Harris's playing, which I think is why I like the first 3 Maiden albums more than anything else in the world.

Well, I feel that Layton is fair at best. Tommy is fucking great though.
He actually pulls the majority of the weight in that band....

The best IMO is Simmons(or who ever played the bass tracks in the studio) & Eric Singer. That little bastard has chops & could easily play circles around Peter & maybe even the lates Eric Carr. Who by the way was great, but Singer is my favorite....
