Bestia Centauri - TeratogenesisS
Eibon Records – BES073/AFE093CD – 10 September 2007

Hell. A place? A person? A state of mind? Whatever ‘Hell’ is, its aural embodiment must surely lay within the recording that is Bestia Centauri’s Teratongenesis, a horrifically disturbing collection of uneasy soundscapes that’s sure as heck summoning some unsavoury presence from what’s probably been a 666-million-year slumber.
Teratogenesis offers a cold, dark exploration of the soul, almost alien in its outlook. It could easily sit as the soundtrack to dread upon being thrust into some foreign cosmos, disoriented, frightened, and fully aware that something horrendous lies in wait. The true genesis of Teratogeneis is a mystery. Maybe its genesis is in the future: 2040 – the Event Horizon disappears after having successfully opened a gateway in space-time. Passing outside the confines of the known Universe, it’s not heard of again for another seven years. When it does reappear it brings something back with it – something from ”the other place”. Speculation as to what that ‘something’ is is ongoing. The only thing that’s almost certain, is that the material contained within Teratogenesis could only have originated in this other place.
