better chain for bass

I'm thinking about buy a Radial J48 to record bass but I have an instrument input in my interface (presonus firestudio project) I want the best signal possible into my DAW, should I buy the radial or connect my bass direct in the presonus input?, what chain do you think is better?.

You can use the instrument input and it should be fine, the radial probably would offer an improvement but I don't think it'd be a massive thing. I'd say new strings are more important than getting a DI if you already have inst in.
