A very vibrant sound is highlighted by Beyond Fallen’s approach to songs. They show the need to break into your face with their style and they make a certain impact upon you in the process. Although the band seems a bit more traditionally styled, we can sense the same kind of musical tendencies present as a band like Overkill. There is thus the feeling that thrash fans should be able to absorb what’s present here and enjoy it to the fullest extent possible although the music has the flavour of belonging to the traditional genre.

Beyond Fallen has the view of being a very metal outfit and this overwhelms every aspect of their work. Mindfire is quite crisp and tight in its delivery overall. Most of the music is heavy in its riffing and guitar work, but there are some quieter segments to be found amongst the lot. The album has a complete feel that is quite welcoming to the listener. There is also a smooth quality about the band that is particularly appealing. They have the ability to make their songs flow and this should make them easy to listen to for many different fans of metal in general. They’ve really done a good job creating something that is fairly easy to appreciate.

Although there is a slight thrash feeling to be found, Beyond Fallen make themselves a place of their own within the metal genre quite well. There is a lot to like with this release and Mindfire comes recommended to pretty much anyone looking for good music. The album has enough high points and few enough low points to be a solid overall experience.
