Beyond Hell- Gwar

I have it on my computer, but I have yet to listen to it, though I know no cd (by GWAR) will beat their "Scumdogs of The Universe" or "America Must Be Destroyed" I normally just consider GWAR a punk band

Worth checking out? Which band do they most sound like?

p.s. Gawar or Gwar (phonetically) in Hindi (the Indian language) means 'redneck'.

They don't sound like any band, but their name means I think either (God What an awful racket) or Gay Women Against Racism.

Wow...this is the most heavy they have ever sounded to me. Good stuff. I usually just like 1 or 2 songs off each album (except Scumdogs and Ragnarok those are classics)...but they seemed to have beefed up their sound some and playing close to their potential.

Maybe it has something with being produced by Devin Townsend?

Thanks for posting this thread, I didn't know they had a new one out...and I certainly didn't think it would sound this tasty. I'll have to listen to more before I decide to buy.

And yes, they do not sound like other bands.

They're one of those original groups that other bands immulate.

It stands for "God What an Awful Racket", actually.

Seen 'em live back on their America Must Be Destroyed tour as a young lad. Got covered in that shit and Symenstra Hymen bled on me out of her cooch.
