Beyond The Black - Songs Of Love And Death

Typical female fronted euro melodic metal. The mind of stuff that is pretty huge in Europe these days thanks to Nightwish/WT/Epica etc. This band is seemingly a fair exponent of the style judging by this song. Her voice is nice and not shrill or operatic. The band is competent and safely produced and the song is catchy. Worth hearing more if you enjoy the style. I think I like this song more than the new Nightwish single actually.

She sounds like Sara Bareilles. A lot like her, in fact.

This is nice enough, but it's lacking something that the bands that are really good at this style (Brave, anyone?) have.
