Big 4 DVD

the big four release will fill up anthrax coffers nicely, well done to metallica for putting all this together, its gonna sell like hotcakes, ive seen the same one alias, anthrax sounds great.

Yer the mix got better and better - Megadeth's sound was very disappointing (as was Dave's voice but I have seen them live so many times and he never sounded that shite).

im not fussed on slayer or megadeth anyways,id mainly get this release to support anthrax and metallica never really dissapoint

I will buy for Anthrax, Megadeth and Slayer. I wish there was a way to not give Metallica my money!

I think you'll find Metallica will get pretty much most of the money from this DVD. They'll probably get 50% of the proceeds, with Megadeth and Slayer getting 20% each and Anthrax getting 10%.
Anthrax don't even get as long a set as the others, it's like they were the warm up act.

True. It's really sad 'cause I honestly think Anthrax was the best band of the night. As much as I love Megadeth they are a machine live, in good and bad. If you've seen Slayer once, there's not that much you haven't already seen. Metallica is usually a good live band, but two hours is just too much for me.

its still gonna add up to 10,s of thousands of dollars in royalties on top of what would have been a pretty well paying tour gig,the last decent tour they were really on was the pantera one, they got looked after well then too, finally the financial side of the band is looking up which has to be a good thing...

Another thing on that - one of the songs is a cover, so they won't get the royalties for that. You'd think they'd have realised that and did something of their own!

I don't really see what money has to do with anything from OUR side of the fence. Money ruined Metallica, and lack of major money kept Motorhead a brilliant band for decades.
Being poor should make Anthrax hungry and aggressive - if they could just put out this fuckin album!

Not because of anything they've done. The recent good fortune has been solely due to the fact Megadeth, Slayer and, in particular, Metallica have allowed Anthrax to ride their coat tails for a while.

Once the nostalgia trip dies away, the die hard fans like us will be left with a band that can't get their fucking act together. :(

I honestly thought they'd be trying to build on some of the success and exposure from the Big 4 tour by getting moving with the new record. Scott's playing with Pearl, and then has gigs lined up in the UK with the Damned Things with Rob. What's Charlie, Frank, and Joey up to?
