MYRKGRAV

after being constantly told to check him out by someone i finally got his album and went :OMG:

hmm.. not really a new band but when i heard deteriorot- in ancient beliefs album the other day i was shocked as hell at how good it was.

I was pleasantly amazed by my first listen to Dusk's (of Hungary) Deathgate album. They call it "True Carpathian Black Metal" and what I was presented with, when they cranked it out full force, was like a mix of Deathspell Omega, Darkthrone and Nachtmystium all rolled into one storm of black metal, plus that Magyar flavor to keep it interesting.

Pain of Salvation - Remedy Lane.

I heard how incredibly complex this album was, becoming accessible only after a dozen spins. It took me just one spin to become obsessed over it.

It was a surprise in the sense that I didn't expect such an accesible, almost catchy album after all those reviews.
