I got a copy of Bitch's The Bitch is Back on disc for a mere $1.00!!!!
Man, this msuic didn't date very well. Aside from "Storm Raging Up," "The Bitch is Back," and "Turns Me On" it's complete shit...

I'm familiar with Hellion, but have nothing in the collection from them.
Check out Holy Moses fronted by a female as well...

Never listened to Bitch. Hellion on the other hand has very good stuff Ann Boleyn is a well known figure in the metal industry too (http://bnrmetal.com/groups/heln.htm)

Holy Moses sucks IMO, but that's because I can't stand a woman singing like a bear with sore throat (same as Angela Gossow).

Check better Warlock, Black Knight, Satanic Rites, Znowhite,or Acid for classic metal acts fronted by a female with good vocals.

I still play Be My Slave quite regularly! I wasn't too impressed with Bitch is Back, even when I first heard it. It's like the songwriting wasn't quite there.

It's readily available even on Amazon, the BMS album and their debut EP packaged together. That cd is the best Bitch has to offer IMO: it's raw as hell, but there is some really cool melodies and heavy as fuck riffs.

The thing i remembered about Hellion was that Dio discovered her/them... i just looked on Amazon and didn't realize they had that many albums out.... quite a few...

You can actually listen to samples from the first one (be my slave) on iTunes. They've been getting some pretty obscure stuff lately. Not a Bitch fan myself, but as to the iTunes thing, I've noticed a LOT of old school stuff, and even hard to find NWOBHM stuff showing up, including:

Angel Witch
Cloven Hoof

....etc. Don't know why I chose all the "witch," titles there, and I'm no shill....but I'm telling ya, iTunes is getting pretty cool....to be off topic a bit.

Unfortunatly alot of these bands sounded completely shit...Hellion still records a CD every few years now...
Other good 80's female fronted bands I liked alot were Détente and Znöwhite, both Thrash bands though.

The only few that come to mind are Gargoyle, Deadly Blessing and Illwill.
