BLA B12a vs. Safesound P1

Hey guys.
I just purchased the Black Lion Audio api styled pre last week and used it today for the first time on some reamps.

I always use my Safesound P1 because it was the only Pre I'd owned until now. It's a VERY clean pre that I mainly bought in order to record DI's etc with and something that has enough clean gain for an SM7.

The BLA b12a is IMO definitely on track with the API stuff I've used in the past, but I won't sit here and chat all day about it, have a listen to the clips and see what you think

Can't listen at the monent but I got 2x B12a and really like them! Even the DI-Input is very good.
The only thing I do not like is using gain above 10 o' clock...after this, my signals become a bit cloudy.

I had this at 1oclock actually haha But I have to say, I much prefer it for micing things up over the Safesound

The high-mids definitely sound jucier in the B12a clip. Nice!

It's definitely more saturated on the b12a, somewhat sweeter! I'm enjoying it a lot, which is great!
