Should I buy a re-amp box? (Clips)

I can't decide if I should buy a re-amp box or not because I'm not quite convinced that it would sound much better than what I am currently using.

For these clips I used a Boss loop pedal, so the takes are identical. I ran the loop pedal into my Babyface Instrument input, and then I ran it into the DI on my Pre-73. Then, I re-amped both DI's using the output on my RME Babyface to run straight into my amp. Another take is the loop pedal straight into the amp.

Can you tell which one is the "real" amp'd clip? Or which two are the re-amp'd DI's?

Would you still suggest that I purchase a re-amp and DI box? I can't decide if the differences are big enough to warrant one!

between 1 and 3 i hear the least difference. 1 being my choice as the direct amp clip.
in 2 oz hear the most degradation of signal so I know that's a reamp.
i'm in the same boat here when we're talkin about getting di's and reamps. i use a laptop so I have to get a hum x and I'll be damned if I pish 160$ and not get double my moneys worth.
like i said earlier 2 is a reamp, but in a mix i wonder if it would matter, and all in all, i wonder if sound improves using a reamp box over analog out.
i'm gonna advise a no on the purchase for the fact that untrained ears on these clips have a hard time distinguishing the differences and let me tell your something else some people actually use a di box in reverse and that's not proper either!

Well, here are the answers:

1 - direct amp
2 - Babyface DI & reamp
3 - Pre-73 DI & reamp

I think in most instances, the quality of the DI is going to be more important than the re-amp box. The Pre-73 must have a better quality DI than the Babyface instrument-in. To get rid of all of the disgusting noise and hum while reamping, all I have to do is run my laptop on its battery and everything is nearly as quiet as a normal guitar would be.

I cannot tell a difference on normal consumer speakers. Using monitors I can tell a difference - but I wouldn't say one is better over the other. I was about to drop $270 on a Redeye 3D. I don't think the difference between any of them is $270 worth... What do you guys think?
