so I know that Nad and I both have the Crowes box set, and that gugsatar is a fan of the Drive By Truckers, so this is an interesting bill:

Billboard.com is reporting that THE BLACK CROWES have tapped ROBERT RANDOLPH AND THE FAMILY BAND as well as the DRIVE-BY TRUCKERS for a nine-week summer tour. The outing will kick off June 10 in Seattle and run through Aug. 12 at Colorado's famed Red Rocks Amphitheatre. Tickets begin going on sale Saturday (April 22).

saw them a few times ... they have a huge loyal following. i like them on record better then live though.
seen Chris Robinson a few times in the Village recently with what's her name ... they hang out in local dives here those 2

actually their last studio album was 2001's "Lions", and then Kate Hudson did her yoko ono bit and convinced Chris that he was better off solo

Robert Randolph is pretty damn good, he played in Raleigh last Thursday but I missed him.
