Read James Ellroy's book called "Black Dahlia".
I know that Scott likes this book and it's must be a inspiration for the lyrics.

yeah cheers for that - I knew a dahlia is a flower but over here in Australia no-one's heard of the Black Dahlia murder - it was obviously a big case in the States though.

I might pick up the book, thanks.
