Black Majesty - In Your Honour

Heard this band for the first time a couple weeks back when they popped up on PANDORA (internet radio) station.

I dig what I have heard. Will keep my eyes out for their discs for sure.

My boys! Thanks for the plug. Few people might have seen me sporting their shirt at VII and X. Hey Glenn, how bout an all aussie showcase? Black Majesty, Voyager, Vanishing Point and Eyefear? hehe.

Switch Voyager for LORD (or just add them) and we'd be talking. I'd pay like $100+ a ticket just for that. Mostly just for Vanishing Point and Lord.

I'm not sure I'd call Black Majesty "Maiden worship" - it's just standard melodic power metal. Really good though, I like the new album quite a bit.

Thanks for letting me know they had a new album. Been into them since the first album.

There are a several Australian bands I would like to see at PP, but it probably costs a ton to fly over to America, right?

Yes it is expensive. You can only fly into LA or San Fran from here. The lowest I've seen is around $800 return. Last time I flew over it was around $1200 return and prices seem to have stuck around that area as of late. Add the domestic flights on top of that and it probably blows Glenns budget out of the water.
I think if Glenn did decide to go for one of the bands mentioned, they'd probably consider wearing their own flight costs in return for the exposure gained. I know people that fork out from their own pocket and go on tour and help Aussie bands when they play Europe or whatnot. I also know a bunch of people who make the mega trek to Wacken every year. We're so metal starved its nuts lol.

Meh, I've seen Dungeon/Lord more times than I care for.

I agree on your 2nd point though.

Can I start living your life?

Seriously, Dungeon is one of my favorite bands of all-time, I would kill to see them. I get SO pissed when I hear people from Australia talk about how they've seen them "enough" or "too many" times.

Dungeon were great back in the day. About 10-11 yrs ago we used to drive 2 hrs just to see them play. Fast forward 5-6 years and they turned into the Into Eternity of Aus metal. Were support on every single metal band tour. That and a few other things which I won't go into here make me 'meh' on them. Talented bunch of chaps though.

I could watch Vanishing Point, Eyefear, Black Majesty and Voyager till the cows come home:rock:

This has been a band I have liked for awhile. Good cheesy melodic power Metal, fun stuff. I did not know they had a new one, thanks.

That'd be cool. However, he'd need an Aussie sponsor for all of those. What do you say?

BTW, you missed a great Fates Warning show last night!

Milt, I'd actually love to sponsor an Aussie band for ProgPower. Unfortunately it would probably mean me not being able to attend due to the amount of cash needed for travel costs and accom on top of the sponsorship. So kinda pointless really.

Blah@ you and everyone else seeing Fates doing Parallels in its entirety with that lineup. Scumbags. lol.
