BLACK METALHEADS - help me please...

Hello everyone. I am so new to the scene. My extent of black metal knowledge is Cradle of Filth, Darkthrone, Satyricon, and Dimmu Borgir (none others come to mind).
All I know is that I truly love this style of metal, and I want help from people in the know as to what other bands I might enjoy.
I recently attended Wacken (outside of Hamburg, Germany) and realized how much I really do love metal.
Now, I have no fear in exploring the genre in and out, and hopefully this will be a good way to do so.
Thanks for any help that you can give me.
Other bands i enjoy are children of bodom, nightwish, korn, blind guardian, amon amarth, placebo, manson, nin, pantera...

some bands that come to mind for me are Dark Funeral, Emperor, Mayhem, Venom (the first 3 albums though Black Metalheads today dont consider the band Black Metal anymore or at all even though they pretty much invented the genre), Bathory (early albums from the 80's particularly Under the Sign of the Black Mark, Bathory, & BloodFireDeath), Ulver, 1349 (yes that is actually the band's name),Markduk, Old Man's Child (very similar to Dimmu), Susperia, Immortal, Leviathan, Carpathian Forest, Enslaved etc.. etc.. this list should help you out.. if you want more i suggest visiting the General Music Discussion forum on this site since Black Metal is discussed there alot.. but i have to warn you there are alot of assholes and elitists in GMD who will most likely look down on you because of the bands you already do listen to like Dimmu, Children of Bodom, CoF etc.. I think its best to hang out in Old School Forum.. the people there are more mature and open minded to what others listen to... anyways welcome to UM.... remember like what bands you like and dont stop listening to them because "elitists" put them down... :Spin:
