I'm very curious to hear your opinions on these guys. They almost don't even make it into the metal category, so I wouldn't be surprised if the forum got moved. But I saw a couple other posts saying that "A Light From Above" is one of the best albums of 2008. I really don't think it's even close IMO. The musicianship is tight and the songs have some groove but the lyrics are really lame and often embarrassing at times. I'm going to see them on the Mayhem tour and maybe they will impress me live. But I just wanted some feedback to see if I'm on my own in saying the CD isn't that good.

I think these kids get a bunch of attention for being as young as they are but, of the few songs I've heard, they aren't anything special, least of all thrashy. I do agree, they have a triviumy sound and are very unoriginal.

I always found them to be more of a traditional heavy/power sound as opposed to thrash. I rather enjoyed them, there's a few great cuts from the albums but the rest is pretty much filler. Hopefully when they mature a bit they'll be able to come out with something mindblowing.

Very unexpected though, I was impressed with those kids.

They were okay at Ozzfest(better then Hatebreed who was playing at the same time) I'm surprised at the love they have on this forum. They aren't as bad at metalcore as people make them out to be and no one can deny the fact they have some musical talent.
