Hi, just uploaded a new track, it's pretty short and straightforward. What do you think about the mix?

Hmm... the guitars could use some taming? Little too strong at around 3-3.5k. Overall impact sounds good, and the music is (always) awesome. ^_^

Thanks! Oh yeah, now I can hear that ~3k might be a little overbearing, nice catch.

A rough generalization: It's very common that after 'loudnessing' indie based rock/metal production you get (most likely guitar) resonance at around ~2,~3, or ~5k depending on if it was mainly worked on 2-way, 3-way/small 2-way or headphones/earbuds. Less obvious problematic frequencies are usually ~120 (mixing at too loud listenig level/room boom), ~400 (good monitors sound transparent while consumer system will sound muddy), 750-1000 (closed-back headphones), and perhaps the crossover frequency of possible separate subwoofer. If mix lacks highs over 8k or so the mixing room usually needs more dampenign or background noise reduction. ^_^
