Okay, I admit I'm getting old, but with all the Deep Purple and Rainbow in my collection, it was only a matter of time before I decided to take an interest in the noble Sir Richard of Blackmore's more recent work.

The fact that I'm lately enjoying quite a bit of acoustic, medieval-sounding folk rock may have something to do with this, as might Candice Knight's uncanny resemblance to a faerie princess, even though she's American :).

So, if I were of a mind to trade some gold pieces for an opus by this troupe of wand'ring minstrels, pray tell which would be the most pleasing to mine ears?

The fist album Shadow of the Moon is probably the best I reckon. It has some nice tracks like Wish you were here.... But you'd probably find it a bit hard to listen to all the way throu.. Guess you have to be in the mood. He whips out the Fender alot more in the second album Fires at Midnight... But nowhere near the genius he spread over DP and Rainbow days.... I'm tired of BN and gave up after their 3rd album.....

I love stranger in us all.
Underrated Rainbow album I reckon.
Doogie White is quite good on it.
I like all the songs, but I find every second track to have the awesome 'epic' feel, and every other track to be a more straight up rockin song.

Hunting Humans (Insatiable), Wolf to the Moon, Ariel, Hall of the Mountain King and Black Masquerade are fuckin classics I reckon

Man, I wish RB would grow some balls again and hook up with Dio or someone already.
