U.S. based Black Metal band Blackstorm are re-releasing their infamous "As Black As Thy Candles Burn E.P." (Produced by James Murphy) and "Black Circle Crusades" CD onto one disc with two new bonus tracks and new artwork in March 2005! Former guitarist Anthony Storm has formed a new project called Wrath of Wolves which will be more impressive than that of the late and fallen Blackstorm!!!

Is that the shit black metal band from my very own hometown Phoenix, AZ? I heard the guy from that band or someone from his record company (Darque records?) completely fucked over James Murphy and stole a ton of his equipment. That aside, nobody will buy this shit reissue of a shit album.

Yes from Phoenix. First things first people! I'm glad that this came up and I will tell you all the REAL story behind the rumors and the slandering of a band and company that if anything HELPED Mr. Murphy!!! Blackstorm and Darque Records had nothing to do with Mr. Murphy's possessions EVER! Whether Mr. Murphy's possessions were stolen is still unknown due to the fact that Mr. Murphy and Mr. Hayden made a verbal agreement about room/board when Mr. Murphy became homeless in 2000!!! Mr. Hayden I believe offered Mr. Murphy room/board in exchange for production assistance with Darque Records and it's artist affiliates. At this time unknown to all, Mr. Murphy was suffering from a brain tumor which left him sleeping most of the day, acting very irrational and being a burden at Mr. Hayden's house making Mr. Hayden assume he was lazy and a flake. Upset, Mr. Hayden payed for Mr. Murphy's flight to his Mothers home in Florida and Mr. Hayden nor' Darque Records did not hear from Mr. Murphy for over a year. Mr. Murphy asked Mr. Hayden to hold his property until he came back. Mr. Hayden assumed Mr. Murphy was being a bum and couch surffing around and would never return for his things or to allegedly pay his debt to Mr. Hayden from what Mr. Hayden said. Mr. Hayden was responsible for his own actions and was dealt with by Darque Records, Blackstorm and Mr. Murphy legally! Mr. Hayden was fired and kicked out of Blackstorm before this problem ever arose. I am good friends with Mr. Murphy
and he has expressed that he knows that my band and my label had nothing to do with his personal ties or agreements with Mr. John Hayden one of our ex-band members and ex-label associates who is no longer with us due to multiple problems other than him trying to willfully take advantage of a friend of ours as well as world renound guitar player! I personally think that Mr. Murphy was taken advantage of by Mr. Hayden none the less Mr. Hayden did
infact save Mr. Murphy from being homeless and supported him for well over four months. Either way Mr. Hayden was wrong in my opinion for what he did but it should not reflect on Blackstorm being a bad band because album sales would prove your comment on this post to be SHIT! Have you ever heard Blackstorm before? Look up Blackstorm on the net and see what kind of reviews we got? Oh by the way your in Phoenix, what band are you in?

Thanks for clearing that up. It's just that someone who is a very well known insider in the Phoenix scene told me about the whole Blackstorm/ Murphy affair so I was inclined to believe him. As far as Blackstorm being shit, I heard 'em years ago. My tastes have changed quite a bit since then. Maybe I should give 'em another listen. Oh and by the way, I will not reveal what band I'm in. I'm keeping that information confidential, my friend.

As far as Blackstorm being shit, I heard 'em years ago. My tastes have changed quite a bit since then. Maybe I should give 'em another listen. Oh and by the way, I will not reveal what band I'm in. I'm keeping that information confidential, my friend.

Mr. Murphy has several friends who live here in the valley two of whom work at Guitar Center and I won't mention there names for obvious reasons who were indeed involved in helping Mr. Murphy with recouping some of his property as well as giving him a place to stay in the process! I personally drove Mr. Murphy down to Tuscon, AZ to pick up some very expensive equipment that was relocated to Mr. Hayden's brother's house for their
personal use. Upon arriving Carl Hayden willingly invited us in and gave Mr. Murphy and I several pieces of his musical gear back and appoligized to Mr. Murphy for his brothers actions. Mr. Murphy did recoupe alot of his property
while back in Phoenix, however as far as I know he is still missing his Kurzwell K2000 keyboard and some computer components as well as misc. clothing.
Anyway of the subject since you live here you should check out a band called Shattered. There a local progressive metal band that are pretty good.
I think they are playing in an upcoming Metal Devastation show here in Phoenix soon! Metal Devastation is an extreme black/death metal shop here in Phoenix located at central and Camelback on the NW corner.

Yup, I know about Shattered. I know those guys, they're real cool people. I go to Metal Devastation all the time. That's the only place in Phoenix to buy metal cds.

Shattered's CD here in Phoenix at his home studio. Mr. Chavez and I have known each other for well over eight years and have been in two bands together. Do you remember or have you ever heard of Pantheon? Their from Tuscon. It's my friends band and they are one of the most extreme Black Metal bands ever!!! In the vein of Immortal, early Emperor, early Dark Funeral and Marduk with no limits. They are heavily affilated with the NS movement in Black Metal! Rubeus (Bass/Vocals-Pantheon) was once in a band based out of Phoenix called Nuctemeron and played guitar and wrote all the material. You should definetly check out Pantheon and Nuctemeron material for some old school Black/Doom from Phoenix back in early-mid 90's! Mr. Chavez myself, Victor Morell and Joel Whitfield from Nuclear Death released Season of Pain-"Bride of the Blackstorm"CD in 1997 another kick butt CD from Phoenix in the vein of My Dying Bride and Dissection.
