Personally I'd love to see former Wolfsbane and Maiden Blaze Bayley front Iced Earth. He's an excellent all round frontman and always gives 110 % when playing live.

As much as I love Blaze, the man and the band, I think he would be horrible in IE, he just isn't the man for the job. On the plus side, I am sure it is a load of shit, so we have nothing to worry about.

Blaze did not fuck up Iron Maiden. Talk about having it rough, he was unfairly bashed by everyone because he wasn't Bruce Dickinson. I think he did a good job. If you think that something had "killed" Iron Maiden, then it was probably the songwriting or lack of creativity (although I disagree a bit with that, I like all their albums)

Blaze joined Maiden when Metal was at an all time low because grunge had taken over. Even if Dickinson had stayed in Maiden it wouldn't have made any difference to the X Factor or Virtual XI.

Yeah, the problem with this albums is that Steve Harris hasn't written ANYTHING original and fresh since 1988, and he refused to change his style at all for a new singer. Priest, by contrast, changed their style for the WAY worse when Ripper came in...both singers had really shitty jobs, and took too much blame for what wasn't their fault.

Though I really like TXF, and while VXI is probably Maiden's worst album, it still has some good material on it.

Well atleast you like Vivi so I wont go apeshit on ya. Bruce left yes. But Blaze does NOT have a voice to sing Maiden at all. He sounds horrible when singing older songs and I have tons of mp3's where he forgets words or puts in other words. Most notably is The Trooper.
