Anyone have this CD? I wanna pick it up REALLY bad because it's basically serving as a best-of album and BG have too many good albums with too many godo songs and I can't afford that many cd's.
So, what's this CD sound like? When I saw them live they were great so I would imagine this would only be better, but that may not be true and that's what i'm here to figure out. SO, anyone know? It's only like $20.99 for it too! $21 for a double-disc underground metal CD at the shit store near my place! That's fucked! If it's good I'm gonna need ot pick it up soon. Som what do you bitches think?

It's a great disc, the sound is great. A few problems though. 1) Hansi has a tendency to drop things an octave live for some reason, i think that he fears he can't do some of the wails live. I noticed this at progpower as well. It's not really a bad thing, just, meh. 2) The setlist. It's pretty good, but there are some things lacking noticably, Time What is Time and Quest for Tanelorn, When Sorrow sang from NIME, one of the best songs on that album, I'm Alive from IFTOS, and Sadly Sings Destiny from NATO (the best song on that album).

However, the disc is still good and i'm enjoying it alot and i just bought it yesterday. Also, the crowd singing practically all of the bard's song is totally amazing. I don't think you hear anything like it on any other album from any other band.

as for the crowd singing along it was pretty awesome when everyone was singing along to babaran on the last live album
and the bard song is always great live
yeah, when sorrow song and time what is time are two of my favorite songs, sucks they didn't play it

When Sorrow Sang = ownage. If they had played that and Somewhere Far Beyond instead of Punishment Divine and Nightfall (shitty live), this could possibly be the Best Live Album EVER. As is, it's way up there. Buy it, no matter what it costs.

Nightfall's a good song, but it doesn't translate well live. When Sorrow Sang would have been so much better.

A Night At the Opera is really, really, shitty. There is nothing worthwhile on that album besides And Then There Was Silence. The goodness of certain tracks (Under the Ice, Sadly Sings Destiny, Battlefield) is buried under all the excessive orchestral turd-dom. And Punishment Divine has no goodness. It is lame.
