I must confess ive never played a role playing game in my life -whats it all about? trolls and stuff? funny shaped dice? [or is it di?]

warhammer is sci-fi roleplaying with a fantasy appeal to it anyway, I mean there are orcs, goblins and such, but it takes place in a future.
It's like lord of the rings in a remote future

EDIT: I fucked up! the scifi is warhammer 40000, warhammer is just fantasy
