Okay the introduction of day tickets was too much to resist so a contingent of us are off to Catton Hall on the 16th to see the Mighty Iced Earth and erase my memories of the woeful show at Wacken last year with Ripper (sorry mate, you're a class singer but your heart wasn't in it at all) So if you see 3 drunk Intense blokes walking round with a one sober one .. say hello

Iced Earth Ruled....aboslutely superb... almost took me back to Wacken in 98 on SWTWC tour...

Had a pretty good day actually caught up with a lot of friends and ended up having a late night .. and er i might have had a few beers lol

I thought Iced Earth were amazing as well. It's a disgrace that they didn't get a longer set. Other standout bands for me were Helloween, Primal Fear and Destruction.

Iced Earth should have had a longer set, but i have to say Overkill were superb on the Sunday evening, well worth sticking around for (and they were EVEN better last night at the Academy in London! )
