Blues / Blues-Rock recs.

yep, "Nightwish" with the "opera" singer... great... I sampled a handful of their songs with high hopes, deleted them a month later and never looked back.

I had a Morse tape from late 80's I believe, had alot of that feel. He's always applied that feel here and there throughout his career. Even has one on Deep Purples Rapture of the Deep. Just dont misunderstand that Im saying its "traditional celtic folk", its a modern feel with whatever Morses twist is.

I enjoy putting some Blues on from time to time, and Delta stuff is by far my favourite. Can't believe none of the following have been mentioned:
Howlin' Wolf
Muddy Waters
John Lee Hooker
Mississippi Fred McDowell
Lightin' Hopkins

All legends. Fred McDowell and Lightin' Hopkins both played very stripped down, one-man-and-guitar stuff, whilst Howlin' Wolf and Muddy Waters started out similar and moved towards fuller arrangements later on.
Pretty much because those you listed go without saying...
