I have heard some of you also have an interest in Danny Elfman and Oingo Boingo. I know othey aren't Metal, but I thought some of you might care. Its mostly a So.Cal thing, but they were a huge Cult Classic at one time, until their split in 1995. They were known for their amazing Halloween bashes. There is a band around LA-San Diego area called The Dead Man's Party which I have seen multiple times over the years, which I highly recommend. They are similar to Iron Maidens, where they are amazing as a band themselves, not just the band they are tributing. With Halloween coming up, they should be doing lots of show. They play sometimes for 3 hours, and very very high energy. You won't believe how many Boingoloids are still around. They play songs from the entire repertoire including songs from before Boingo was signed when they were The Mystic Knights of the Oingo Boingo.
Sometimes members of Boingo show up and play with them. Usually there is a good slam pit too.
