Got it today. The Lords of True Heavy Fucking Death Metal return triumphantly. Certainly their best since For Victory. They just sound energized and inspired again. Great looking cover and booklet as well.

Perhaps the death metal release of 2005. Well, this or Rudra. I don't even remember the Nile album title.

I liked the two tracks I heard but I don't know if I need another Bolt Thrower album. I think they're a bit like Runemagik in that they're a one trick pony. One album is all you need.

Realm of Chaos is good stuff, but yeah, In Battle There is No Law is not all that great.

But For Victory, Crusade, Warmaster, Realm and this one are damn near essential for true death metal.

yes ok. best album is any album. on funeral wings perhaps for doomier stuff or requiem of the apocalypse for doom and death or the supreme force of eternity for more like old swedish death metal not so much doom.

i'd prefer the doomier atmospherics, so i'll start with current stuff and work backwards. reviews are comparing them to mid era Hypocrisy, early Amorphis and Asphyx.

you know when i was writing for a webzine i forget what it was called

i compared "on funeral wings" to old hypocrisy playing black sabbath or was it the other way around. it's kinda accurate. very underrated band, mark my WORDS.

I was checking out reviews of this new BT as well Jeff. I always liked them, but didn't love them. Is there anything about this new one that makes it such a MUST HAVE? That IS a bad-ass album cover though, it looks fucking 3-D bas relief or something!

Runemagick is cool, what little I've heard of them.
