Book of Thel (from Chemical Wedding for you n00bs)

Oh yeah and it just kinda sorta reminded me of Sacred Reich (read: barely), hence the :loco: fucker hanging out.

I should give this album an honest listen one of these days, because the few casual times I heard it it was pretty cool + you dicks slobber the knobber of it + I finally am able to enjoy a small handful of Maiden + boobs + lightning + farting.

If you add "fur" to that equation, you might one day like Destroyer Shit Shit Shit. :loco:

Ah! You didn't keep up on that thread, I actually enjoyed some of their later period stuff quite a bit! :loco:

Of course I forget who posted the mp3s, what they were called, or even the album they came from, but they were good!

PS: Did you notice I bought The Taste of Victory the other day? Yeah, it finally clicked with me. :kickass:

That's probably because you started with "Cold Steel..." which is their worst. Still, Destroyer Shit Shit Shit is a good enough parody, almost as good as Gayo Dot and Saggy Ballsack (or whatever Bal Sagoth is supposed to be).

Taste of Victory is a good 'un. (You should have just bought their last album though cos you get a bunch of extras with it).

I thought he started with "Unchain the Wolves"?

Anyways, that's not the problem! The problem is that he'd rather listen to crap like Boris and Qeers of the Stoneage instead of manly music! (sorry, nad...)

Nice job misspelling Queers. :loco:

Besides, you like the Chili Peppers. MOTED. :loco:

BOOK OF THEL

One of the greatest achievements of heavy metal as a musical genre

Absolutely fucking impeccable!

COME THE DAWNING OF THE DEAD
IN FAMINE AND IN WAR
NOW THE HARLOT WOMB OF DEATH
SPITS OUT ITS ROTTEN CORE
BY THE PRICKING OF MY THUMBS
SOMETHING WICKED THIS WAY COMES
AND WHEN SLEEP TAKES YOU TONIGHT
WILL YOU WAKE TO SEE THE LIGHT?

BY THE DAWNING OF THE DEAD
BY THE DAWNING OF THE DEAD
BY THE DAWNING OF THE DEAD
BY THE DAWNING OF THE DEAD

I love the pre-chorus where it goes....

STAND INSIDE THE TEMPLE
AS THE BOOK OF THEL IS OPENING
THE PRIESTESS STANDS BEFORE YOU
OFFERING HER HAND AS SHE RISES.....

:kickass:

The imagery of a mystical "priestess" of sorts is quite sexy to me actually. :loco:

-puts this song on right fucking now-

what a coincidence.... :kickass:

I still need to get the DVD...

i think we need to bump this thread every six months or so just so people remember what a fucking BATSHIT AMAZING song this is.

on a side note, i've become more and more impressed by Accident of Birth (the album). Some really cool stuff throughout, a bit more Maiden-esque than Wedding.

I never really got into AoB -- perhaps it always sounded too muffled? I always give it a spin once in a while to see if I come round to it. The last one, Tyranny of Souls, was much more to my liking.
