I know, eBay shits me something rotten. I'm after some wool - it's quite exxy in the shops, and I've been looking for this stuff for a good price for ages. I'm doubly pissed off because I lost out on another lot of the same stuff yesterday - I was at work and couldn't bid at the right moment. I really thought I had got this tonight though, it's so galling.
I hate waiting that last 10 minutes for the auction to end, it always seems to take about half an hour
I think I have a strategy this time - the sneaky bitch who nicked my wool (yes, I consider it theft!!) placed a bid and was outbid by me, but just had time to sneak and and obviously knew what my bid was by then. So, I'm going to place a bid with a minute to go, and then at 30 seconds I'm going to place another one. I'm hoping by the time they realise I've outbid myself they'll have run out of time. Well... I can only hope, I'm getting desperate now.

Yes, I too hate those crucial moments, but have since learned to decide what my max bid will be long beforehand, and put that bid on in the dying seconds. If I win, I win, if not, then it must have gone for more than I was willing to pay. The only frustrating part is when someone gets it for like a couple of dollars more.

I've been outbid in the last 15 secs on Ebay before! I was bidding on a Marshall power amp that was about $400 cheaper than it should have been... I was refreshing like crazy... put my bid in with 15 secs left... it was mine... then I refreshed one last time after I those 15 secs had passed... and some prick had outbid me at the last second. Since that day my interest with Ebay has waned...

That sucks Coops. People use those sniper programs that bid for you when there is less than 3 seconds to go, which is fucked, but oh well, under my stategy I don't have to worry about that. Always bid what you are willing to pay, and not just the next bid amount.

The only one I have seen cost some percentage to use so I never looked into em, and my strategy works fine anyway. Is yours free Koich?
