Apparently, Boris has a new album coming out today!

i think the next Boris album i get will be a bootleg, their live show was way better than the album shitz.

Yup, supposedly it's heavy boris too. Chromo let me onto this: If the album has BORIS written on it, its heavy. However if boris is written on it, its otherwise (like floods, etc.)

a bootleg dvd of one of their recent US shows was on Stonerrock.com store before but it's sold out now

but this album is out, and some other dvd of a tokyo show (shorter - 25 min. only) is coming too or something

what albums have their groovier side? their drone is good, but the groovy/stoner stuff was better.

akuma no uta has some drone and some rocking songs.

uh.. what else do i have? mabuta no ura is a movie soundtrack that rules i think, more mellow and lots of shit going on.. it's good

anduhh.. i really want to get Flood next. that seems like it'd really a ppeal to me. i want hte mellow kinda albums. so far, amplifier worship is my least favourite.

yeah that's the thing, i have Amplifier Worship and while it's perfectly okay, i'm not exactly thrilled over it. their live show totally smoked though, and shows they are a really great band. i just need to feel that way about their studio work, but their discography is freakin intimidating.

hint- southern lord is releasing it domestically next year

however I will likely import the vinyl next month if I can acquire mp3s first

Heavy Rocks
Akuma No Uta
one of their tracks on the split with chokokokokoblah blah - m.e.,t.a.l.
merzbow - 04092001, but granted its got a lot of merzbow noise tweakery thrown in

but unfortunately, none of their albums really comes close to being as good as Heavy Rocks when it comes to the stoner thing.

although i'm hearing great things about PINK, so this one might fall in this list too.

there's a 3 volume bootleg thing I think they've were selling on tour, I still see volumes 2 and 3 available online, but you wouldn't want those two (drone bootlegs lawl)

Southern Lord says they're doing their own release in April.

should be the same, but new artwork.

btw the vinyl version has about 10-15 extra minutes of music, and this should stay true to the SL vinyl release as well.


(though what I said, fuck that, and ordered from Inoxia the morning it went on sale, sold out in 30 minutes too)
