Born Too Late II

First time i've ever wanted to go to Calgary.. or anywhere in Alberta.

Apparently there are rumors Aura Noir will play Noctis as well. Probably will have to find some way to attend this show.

Yeah, one night is at a smaller bar, the other night is at their main university venue.

Honestly, as long as they have 1 or 2 of the unibroue brews, I won't mind. But if it's all moosehead, I'm playing it sober.

I don't think I'm the right one to write up a cohesive run-down of the weekend in Rochester or Swizzle & Ben's couple of days in Canadia... maybe Vittra will do the honours!

I will say, however, that John Gallo is a great and very hospitable guy, had us over to his place and everything. The bands were top-notch, extremely tight, a joy to watch. For me, Ogre and Against Nature were the absolute highlights... a damn shame Ogre's breaking up. I was not feeling too hot during the 2nd half of the night and spent most of it outside talking to bands or back at the hotel sleeping. Thus I missed Revelation, Iron Man and Orodruin but have seen em all before. I know it would have been incredible, but I just couldn't do it!

The Bug Jar was a decent place, with cheap beer... $4 pints of Dead Guy and $2 bottles of PBR

We hit up an excellent beer store... I'd better bump that Snobby Purchases thread. I'm drinking an Oaked Arrogant Bastard right now!

I had a blast last weekend, thanks to Vittra, Swizzlenuts and Ben Ware for all the laughs, beers, and good times :kickass:

I'd say you've already summed it up pretty well. Such a fucking great weekend.. good times hanging out with you nerds. At BTL, Ogre stole the show for me as well, but Apostle of Solitude and Against Nature were definite highlights for me. It's really hard to put any band above the others though, as it was incredibly solid throughout.

Wish I could have come up for this one, sounds like it was great. You gents need to come down south for Stoner Hands of Doom in September.

I'll be writing a review of the show and I'll post an exert.

I brought 2.5 cases of homebrew, and left Rochester with 0.
