brainstorm: the possible replacements for Steve

some solos and more melody would be nice, kinda like what Exodus did with "Shroud of Urine". Tempo of the Damned is a masterpiece, so that means Testament needs to step up and deliver a killer album, and their just the band to do it. Id also like to see Souza do some guest vocals, hell even have Alex throw in a guest lead, Im sure however it comes out though Ill be happy just to have a new Testament music.

Alex would be my first pick...but I doubt that would happen, he's not into the whole metal thing anymore.

I beg to differ on the Tempo of the Damned being a "masterpiece" and Testament will definitely write a better album than that is. Have you paid attention to the lyrical content of that album?? And I know Paul will throw down way more interesting drum lines, that entire cd is the same drumming over and over and over and over...you get my point I'm sure. The riffing and the guitar work is really good...but the rest (vox, lyrics and drums) well..not really my thing. Not slamming people who like it, I just think it gets way too many praise. As for Zetro doing vox on the new Testament? Please no...I faithfully skip the tracks on FSSD that he sings on...it just doesn't sound right.

MI -- Reign of Terror is my favorite track on that CD!! I like Zet's version better than either of Billy's live recordings, but then I've never personally heard it live at a show.

But Alone in the Dark? The original on The Legacy is much better...:D

Well, Ira Black (Ex-Vicious Rumors, just like Steve, and Heathens current touring/extra guitarist) might be a good idea... actually the best that I can come up with...

Maybe one of the guys that used to be in Helstar, Andre or Larry etc...

I agree Randy Shawver would be an interesting idea, the guy had a good sense of proper melody usage. It would be amazing if they could get Tommy Vettereli (ex-Coroner/Kreator), it was really sad to see that guy only get to play on Kreators shittiest albums...

Scott or Aaron from Laaz Rockit...

Craig or John (ex-Metal Church)...

Shannon Hamm
Glen Alvais
Jeff Waters
Alex Skolnick
Darren Travis

..... for those who know martyr... I'd sure like to see Daniel Mongrain doing solos for testament...

Gustavfson formely from overkill...
The dude from Sacrifice (don't remember the name...)
