I just reminded myself how great a movie this is, despite the fact that Keanu Reeves ruins the second male character role.

We've all become God's madmen...all of us.
--Van Helsing ( though I suspect here that Coppola is quoting somebody else)

I like everything about it, except Keanu *shakes fist*

oh right some of Wynona's acting is pretty bad too, now that I think about it.

Not really until the latter half of the movie.

edit: the only thing that really rubs me wrong is Keanu's and Wynona's campy upper class "British accents"

I'm thinking of one line in particular, Derick:

"Would you cut of my head and drive a stake through my heart, you murdering 'bostod'!" Gawd, but she sounds like a scullery maid or some such.

i liked the book better... but maybe that's just me

I like books better than I do movies, but it should be noted that Bram Stoker himself was in on a few dramatic performances of Dracula shortly aft its publication, so it was a book essentially written to be made into a stage drama.
