I just reminded myself how great a movie this is, despite the fact that Keanu Reeves ruins the second male character role.

oh right some of Wynona's acting is pretty bad too, now that I think about it.

They keep all the good lines from the book, too, and add some of their own.

Not really until the latter half of the movie.

edit: the only thing that really rubs me wrong is Keanu's and Wynona's campy upper class "British accents"

yeah i just wtached it on tnt demand and it was ok, Gary Oldman was fantastic as usual.

Hopkins did good too.

"Would you cut of my head and drive a stake through my heart, you murdering 'bostod'!" Gawd, but she sounds like a scullery maid or some such.

Mr. Oldman is the strongest actor in the movie, even better than Hopkins.

I like books better than I do movies, but it should be noted that Bram Stoker himself was in on a few dramatic performances of Dracula shortly aft its publication, so it was a book essentially written to be made into a stage drama.
