Bret Michaels's father, Wally Sychak, died earlier today (Sunday, August 4), three days after suffering cardiac arrest. The POISON frontman confirmed his father's passing in a message on his official web site. He wrote: "This morning my Dad passed away. He was a great guy & loved by all. He was a veteran who loved this country, people, family, golf, betting on them horses, a cold beer & long drives. My father was a dreamer, he was my warrior, my friend & most important my Dad. "Dad you said be strong no matter what, but this pain in my heart & soul hurts so bad at the moment…so bad. I miss you already, we all do. "I love you always Dad & I will see you one day on the other side." Sychak's heart attack reportedly happened within two days after Michaels spent the week with his father, who was in attendance for a July 27 performance in Sunbury, Northumberland County, at Spyglass Ampitheater. Bret's August 2 show at Hard Rock Hotel in Orlando, Florida, has been rescheduled to August 23, while his August 3 show at the Old Town Amphitheatre in Rock Hill, South Carolina, has been moved to August 24.
