Ok, so I just got my new ESP LTD M-300FM yesterday. Gorgeous guitar for the price. Anyway, of course it came stock with .09s on it. I normally play .10 in Drop C.
Anyway, today I just wanted to tune it down to Drop C with the .09s on it yet, since they are brand new and I figured I could beat the crap outta them for a few days at least. Come to find out, the one screw that pushes/pulls the bridge (FR Special) in and out is slightly stripped out, and I'm only rounding it off more with the screwdriver. Therefore, I cannot get the bridge to float flush with the body.
Any suggestions? Should I just take it somewhere and get it set up professionally? I've done this many many times on my old Ibanez without issues.
I can't ever seem to buy anything new for myself without it being fucked up from the start.
