okay, yeah, this movie looks like it's going to be ridiculously overrated but ... are you being forced to watch it? and even if you do happen to see bits of it, are you going to see much of any intimacy between 2 males the way you'd see it between a man and woman in any other movie? no, you're not. and would you mind telling me for just how long straight people have had to hide who they are for fear of losing their families, jobs, and even lives? how many times a day do you hear the words "faggot" and "queer" tossed around like they're nothing? just how much is your lifestyle being infringed on by homosexuals finally being able to being somewaht accepted in this society? liberal hollywood is taking control? yeah, right. you flip out because you see a handful of gays finally not being afraid to step out of the closet and act like it means you're being forced to perform acts of sodomy.

Alas my friend, people like Sue and Billy (who is at least occasionally fun and puts out good music) like to push their moral delusions into the realm of paranoia, instead of actually thinking. Yes, it's funny how someone like Sue sounds no better then that dope Hillary Clinton wining about a vast right wing conspiracy trying to cover for Bill's problems keeping it in his pants

Now, as someone who has seen the movie. It is overrated. It's a rather generic love story. It's basically a gay version of The Bridges of Madision County: infidelity, doom lovers, etc. There is nothing subversive about it.
The film is actually a bit dull. I too would have prefered John Wayne and a bunch of killing.

Sorry, but thinking that "this movie is just another move in the liberal plan to desensitize the nation to subversive behavior" means that you should build a time machine and travel back to 1930's Soviet Union and find a job working for Joseph Stalin. Such paranoia, such politicization of everything and everyone would find its proper place there, right before you too were eventually executed for being subversive.

Short of that, you might find your self at home at somewhere in the middle east or some other ass backwards Islam country were they stone people for being subversive. Leave America to those whose whose first reactions to everything aren't fascist.
