A new fan-made video on Youtube asks whether Bruce Dickinson is a superior vocalist today or 30 years ago.

“Bruce was superb in 1986,” said the fan known as One Man Mambo. “Today he is otherworldly.”

The footage was taken from concerts in France, Mexico and the United States.

The video can be seen at

“Bruce, I love you” concluded One Man Mambo.

I prefered when he was more agressive, like in the number of the east album, or in some songs in Fear of the dark., But overall, a great singer now and then

Don't forget that technology and autotune racks have improved much since 1986 :)

Not to take away anything from the man as he is probably up there with the likes of Ian Gillan and Dio when it comes to metal singers. As far as I am concerned it is 1986 though...

Personally I was more of a DiAnno sound, I like the rougher Maiden...they got too polished too fast so past their first 3 albums there is little that excites me.

Their songwriting and all delivery has gotten very stale.

I like Bruce more on "Chemical Wedding" than anything Maiden put out of late.

1986? I personally would say his peak is his first 3 with Iron Maiden.

Precisely. Before you could hear his imperfections and it added to the life of his voice. It was brilliant and human. Now I can only imagine just how bleached and scrubbed his vocals are now, with technology, etc.
