Iron Maiden frontman Bruce Dickinson has turned down a chance to be judge on the UK version of The Voice, according to The Sun.
The reality show, which has just finished a successful first season, is due to launch in the UK on the BBC later this year. Its producers are currently recruiting the judging panel, which includes Cee Lo Green, Maroon 5's Adam Levine and Christina Aguilera in the US version.
The UK producers are rumoured to have approached Dickinson, but were given short shrift, with the singer saying of the show: "That show sounds so crap and demeaning to everyone involved, I took great delight in turning the BBC down. The X Factor is appalling enough, its no better than Opportunity Knocks."
Well done!
